2048 Leaderboard — Compete for the Top Score
Click the trophy icon in the header on the homepage to see how your score stacks up against other players. The leaderboard tracks two timeframes: Today, which resets daily, and All-Time, which keeps the best scores ever recorded. After a game ends, hit "Save Score" to add your result and see your live rank in both.
What counts toward the public leaderboard
Only 4×4 Classic games and Daily Challenge results are ranked on the leaderboard. This is intentional — a 6×6 board allows dramatically higher scores than a 3×3 board simply because there's more room to build, so mixing scores across grid sizes would make the rankings meaningless. If you're playing a different grid size, your personal stats still track your progress; it just won't appear on the public leaderboard.

No account or sign-up is needed to submit a score — just enter a name and you're on the board. Want to track your own history privately instead? Check the stats icon next to the trophy for your personal games played, win rate, streaks, and best times.
Today vs. All-Time — which should you aim for?
The Today board resets daily and gives newer players a realistic shot at a top spot without competing against months of accumulated high scores. The All-Time board is the harder, more prestigious target — it reflects the single best run anyone has ever recorded. Many players use the daily board to build consistency before chasing an all-time rank.

Is there a leaderboard?
Yes — click the trophy icon to see Today's top scores and All-Time top scores. Note that only 4×4 Classic and Daily Challenge scores are ranked, since a 6×6 game allows much higher scores than a 3×3 game and wouldn't be a fair comparison. Your personal stats (games played, streaks, best times) are tracked separately and privately, visible via the stats icon.
